Originally from Ocala, Dr. Hoffman and his family now reside in Fleming Island. He and his wife Susan were high-school sweethearts; they have been married for more than 15 years and have three delightful children. Outside the office, time with his wife and kids comes first, alongside running (he has finished a marathon), golfing, surfing, and pickup soccer.
His path to orthodontics started during dental school, where time in the ortho clinic showed him the lifelong impact treatment has on the way a person carries their smile. He describes his approach in three words: conservative, compassionate, detailed. The thank-you cards he keeps tend to share the same line, that the patient felt like the number one priority every single time they were in the office, and he counts that as the highest compliment.
