The work, and the life around it.
Dr. Hoffman grew up in Ocala and lives in Fleming Island now. He and his wife Susan were high-school sweethearts, have been married more than fifteen years, and have three children. Time with them comes first. What is left over goes to running, and he has finished a marathon, plus golf, surfing and pickup soccer.
His path to orthodontics started during dental school, where time in the ortho clinic showed him the lifelong impact treatment has on the way a person carries their smile. He describes his approach in three words: conservative, compassionate, detailed. The thank-you cards he keeps tend to share the same line, that the patient felt like the number one priority every single time they were in the office, and he counts that as the highest compliment.
