Six common issues.

Loose bracket
Cover the bracket with orthodontic wax to prevent irritation. Leave it in place and call our office to schedule a repair appointment.Poking wire
Use a pencil eraser to gently push the wire flat against the tooth. If it cannot be moved, cover the end with wax and call us.Mouth sores
Rinse with warm salt water. Apply wax over any brackets or wires causing irritation. Topical oral anesthetic can provide temporary relief.Lost aligner
Contact our office right away. Wear your previous set of aligners until we can provide a replacement.Loose band
Save the band and bring it to your appointment. Call us to schedule a repair as soon as possible.General soreness
Mild soreness after adjustments is normal. Over-the-counter pain medication, soft foods, and warm salt water rinses help. Call us if pain is severe.
